Thanks Partha for visting and leaving a comment. Partha knows firsthand the difference a good process can have in exceeding expectations and delivering to high quality standards reliably. He reported to me on a project where we transformed the product through the implementation of a lean process. Before that the product was known for it's poor quality and late delivery. He's also a top notch developer and manager. Please continue to visit and share your thoughts.

Very well written. I will add that there is a perception barrier in software industry that process is a bureaucratic impediment to an otherwise acclaimed innovative industry. In other cited industries like auto or airlines, a process is considered as a mark of quality and maturity. In software, it is perceived as in 'Not Applicable' category. Till the time the dots are connected between poor quality to adherence to no or bad process, it is hard to convince management of its value.
